New Red Dawn Film Features Hummer Madness
The Red Dawn Remake / Sequel (we’ve heard it referred to as Red Dawn 2) is filming right now – and blowing up lots of Chinese Hummers. The Michael Bay film is filming in Detroit – where seeing tanks and shit blown up is part of your daily commute. Jalopnik caught snippets of filming, which include the aforementioned Chinese Hummer knockoffs. We don’t know if it’s Russian, Cubans or the Chinese themselves running a-muck in the Midwest, but we know Patrick Swayze won’t be showing up…too soon?

According to rumors via BeyondHollywood.com: It looks like those pesky Chinese are trying to pull a fast one on us, guys. Look at their silly propaganda posters! Don’t believe them, they’re all lies! Ahem. New set pictures from the “Red Dawn” remake, currently shooting up north in Michigan. Looks like a fair share of the action will take place in town instead of the open countryside like the original. The town they’re shooting in also doesn’t look that small, or rural. Then again, movie magic, right?
